Lamborghini Diablo

Lamborghini Diablo is the predecessor of the now famous Lamborghini Murcielago line and it was originally launched in 1990. to replace another successful line from the Lamborghini factory and that was the Lamborghini Countach model. From 1990. until 2001. while the line was available only 2903 models of Lamborghini Diablo were sold. Laborghini Diablo could reach speed of 202 mph with the acceleration that went from 0 – 60 mph in 4 seconds flat. The engine was V12, 5,7 liters version and mid-mounted to give the car the optimum balance. In the original design Lamborghini Diablo was a rear – wheel drive.

With some adjustment and constant improvement new versions of Lamborghini Diablo were introduced, with the first one available in 1993, the so-called Diablo VT. The main differences from the original version were in the steering system, which was improved, a computerized suspension system that had shock absorbers; all-wheel drive system and new design of tires that were introduced to compliment the all-wheel drive system. Diablo VT Roadster was introduced at the International Auto Show in Geneva in 1992. however the line went into production 3 years later in 1995. The difference between the 2 models was in the carbon fiber roof.

The 30th anniversary of the Lamborghini introduced a limited model of diabloDiablo, called Lamborghini Diablo SE30. There were only 150 cars available of this particular model. In 1995. another version of Lamborghini Diablo SE emerged and it was called SE30 Jota, which was a version in itself, however the owners of Lamborghini SE30 could have their version upgraded to the Jota. The difference was in the power of the engine, as Lamborghini Diablo SE30 could reach 523 bhp while Jota could produce 595 bhp.

1999 brought new version of the Diablo line, the Diablo VT and Diablo VT Roadster that mostly suffered cosmetic changes, while the mechanical changes were in the longer brakes, with the ABS brakes added and the car could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3,9 seconds.
