Lamborghini Gallardo came out of the Lamborghini factory as a competition the Ferrari 360 and it sits in the lower class under the Lamborghini Murcielgo model. Even though Lamborghini Gallado performances are not as high as of the Murcielgo model it still can accelerate from 0 – 62 mph in just 4 seconds. It has the V10 engine, with the power of 520 bhp. All - wheel drive is rear based, making it more efficient car in bad weather compared to most of sports car available on the market. The whole premise of Lamborghini Gallardo design was that it was not solely intended for a fast speed junkie, but it can also be utilized and driven on every day basis.
And as such it was a challenge to make for the Lamborghini designers who had to keep that in mind and make a car that can be used on everyday basis without losing any of the features of the classic Lamborghini sports car. Maximum speed of the car is just over 190 mph. Some of the mechanical components, apart from the V10 engine and permanent 4-wheel drive, are an aluminum space frame, gearbox that is placed just behind the engine, independent suspension system and low center
gravity. The biggest challenge was the weight distribution, as it had to be ensured that is was proportioned in the right way for a sports car, with enough leverage for handling and braking. Lamborghini Gallardo has the weight distribution of 52% in the rear and 42% in the front. Also Lamborghini Galardo model does not have the typical scissors door. The name was taken from Spanish, as Gallardo is a synonym for a fighting breed of bulls.
With Lamborghini Gallardo you are getting a sports car that you can drive every day, as its designers successfully managed to combine all the features of a sports car with mechanical adjustment to get the maximum out of its performances in every day traffic.
